Donny Jay Potter

Donny Jay Potter, 52, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday, June 10, at the funeral home. Interment: Johnson Station Cemetery, Arlington.

Donny was born on September 10, 1969 in Euless, Texas to J.W. Potter and Helen Ruth Brown Potter. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1989 and worked as a warehouse logistics manager.

Donny spent 37 years with the love of his life, Gena Celeste Cornish Potter. He was a wonderful father and loved his children and grandchildren deeply. He loved to coach and enjoyed umpiring. He loved spending time with his family camping and fishing. He loved to tell jokes and make everyone laugh.

Donny was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars fan. He enjoyed watching television and loved listening to country music. His favorite color was cowboy blue.

Donny was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Helen Potter; and son, Brendon Potter.

Survivors: Beloved wife, Gena Potter; sons, Devon Potter and wife, Bridget and Jacob Cornish; brothers, Jay Potter and wife, Anna, Danny Potter and wife, Nancy; sister, Kathy Kobell; and grandchildren, Hayden, London, Dallas, Bentley and Berkley.
