Donna Sue Acosta

July 6, 1956 — March 5, 2024

Donna Sue Acosta, a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, and dear friend, peacefully passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 67, surrounded by her loved ones in Arlington, Texas. She was born on July 6, 1956, in Arlington, Texas, to her late parents, Toy and Dorothy Ross, joining her late brother, Troy Ross, in the Ross family.

Donna’s life was marked by her unwavering love for animals. She found joy and companionship in her beloved turtles, cats, dogs, and birds, nurturing them with tender care throughout her life. Donna had a passion for music, enjoyed her favorite television shows and playing the piano and guitar, finding solace and contentment in the melodies that filled her home. She was fond of roller skating competitions. She loved plants. Liked growing plants.

Among Donna’s greatest joys was the time spent with her beloved husband, Mario Acosta, whom she met in Las Vegas and shared 23 years of cherished marriage. Their bond was a beacon of love and strength, exemplifying the beauty of a lifelong partnership. Donna and Mario’s love was celebrated each year on March 17, a testament to their enduring commitment and devotion to one another.

Professionally, Donna made significant contributions in the sales industry, specializing in Time Share marketing and later lending her expertise to All State as a Property and Casualty Agent. She had her own pet grooming business in California before she met Mario. Her dedication, resilience, and exceptional work ethic were admired by colleagues and clients alike, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she served. She graduated from Phoenix University and received her degree there.

Donna will be remembered for her infectious laughter, boundless humor, and radiant smile that could light up any room. Her positive outlook on life and unwavering optimism were a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Donna’s presence will be deeply missed by her sisters, Carrie Fraga (Victor) and Linda Kay Estrada (Servando), her brothers, Steve Ross and Orville Ray Ross, her adored grandchildren, Haley Robertson and Jon Robertson, and her loving husband, Mario Acosta.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ASPCA in honor of Donna’s passion for animals and her desire to support those in need. Donna was very generous donations to multiple church’s.
Donna’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her love, kindness, and grace. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
