Donna Louvelle Koch, 86, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at her daughter’s residence in Weatherford, Texas. She was born December 9, 1936 in Beaumont, Texas to Lee and Opal Ault and was the eldest of six children.
On October 4, 1957, she married Werner G. Koch. She graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BA Spanish/English in 1969. She also minored in French. She worked for the Texas Workforce Commission from 1973 to 1996 in various positions from Placement Interviewer to Program Administrator when she retired. She had many close friends both through work and in the community. She loved to travel and explore new places and cultures. She also loved foreign languages, fashion, history and following current events. She had a tender heart for her rescue kitty, Mahoney. She adored being “Grammy” and spoiling her 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She and her husband resided in Arlington for over 60 years. Her warm heart, strong opinions, generous nature and zest for life will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Opal Ault and her husband of 63 years, Werner Koch.
Survivors; daughter, Rhonda Misslin and husband, John; grandchildren, Dylan Misslin and wife, Jenny; Lindsay Gastorf and husband Scott, and Clint Misslin; great-grandchildren, Lily and Levi Misslin, Grace, Nathan and Abigail Gastorf; siblings, Gay Lynn Shrader, Henry Winston Ault, Renona Ann Joplin, Charlotte Clopton and Lorilee Dodson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation and funeral service for Donna will be held on Friday, October 27 at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation: 10-11am; Service: 11am; Reception: following service. Internment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth.
