Donna Jackson

Donna Marie (Adney) Jackson passed away too early but peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in Arlington, Texas at age 69. Donna was born March 28, 1956, in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she lived her entire life. Donna is survived by her sister, Ruth Adney (Gary Eklund), daughter Sarah Metzger (Michael), son Jonathan Jackson (Mary), grandchildren Samuel, Will, Emerson, Cole, and Eli, nephews Michael and Stephen, and many cousins she adored. She is preceded in death by her father and mother GB Adney, Jr. and Mary, brothers GB Adney III, John Adney, and David Adney.

She retired after 30 years with the Federal District Court and always missed her work family. When she wasn't working, she was volunteering with her church and at Briarwood Nursing Home, walking her Hillcrest neighborhood, spending a lot of time with her grandkids (making their favorite grilled cheese sandwiches), or having wine with her beloved sister. Her quick, genuine laugh will be missed.

Please join us to celebrate her life on Monday, May 5, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, located at 723 Center Street, Little Rock, AR 72201. Service in the sanctuary will start at 10am, followed immediately by a reception and gathering in the church's fellowship hall. In lieu of donations, the family requests you give your time. Find a nursing home or memory care center and spend an hour a month talking and listening to the forgetting or the forgotten...life is about how, not how much.
