Donna Ewing

Donna Maureen Ewing, 82, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 in Mansfield. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 30, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Inurnment: At a later date, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Donna was born on July 26, 1935 in Easton, Maine to Henry Phillips Miller and Mae Vita Flewelling Miller, the daughter of potato farmers. She married Charles Thomas Ewing on May 18, 1955. An Arlington resident since 1972, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mansfield. She was a longtime member of the Arlington Woman's Club and past president of the Arlington Encore Club as well as a member of several bridge clubs. Donna was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Michael Bowen in 2011; and a sister, Janet Shaw in 2015. Survivors: Husband of 62 years, Charles “Chuck” Ewing; daughters, Pamela Jo Ewing Fischer and husband, Rodney, and Patricia Jean Ewing Bowen and husband, Michael; sister, Chrystal Bishop; grandchildren, Candice Rapini, Adam Fischer, Jennifer Nelson, Amanda Chapman, Elizabeth Givens and Matthew Bowen; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
