Donis Mills

Donis Ray Mills, 83, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, surrounded by his beloved wife, Melva, and family. Born on January 6, 1941, in Nash, Oklahoma, Donis lived a life filled with love, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to his family and friends.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Donis served from November 5, 1962, to May 3, 1968, achieving the rank of E-2. Following his service, he enjoyed a fulfilling career as an estimator for TXI, where he was respected for his knowledge, professionalism, and unwavering integrity.

Donis was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Melva; his daughters, Rachelle Binger and Paige Mills-Dillard; his sons-in-law, Gil Binger and Lynn Dillard; and his treasured grandchildren: Aspen Gumfory and her husband Dillon, Collin Vergunst, Corbin Dillard, Angelee Dillard, and Emery Dillard. He is also survived by his dear sister, Jessie McCormick, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will deeply miss him.

An avid Oklahoma Sooners fan, Donis found great joy in watching games and sharing his love for sports with his family. His warm heart and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Funeral services to honor Donis's life will be scheduled at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable life and legacy he leaves behind. During this time of sorrow, we will remember him for the joy he brought into our lives and the enduring impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him.

Donis Ray Mills will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Donis was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Bea Mills, and brothers Dean, and Gene Mills.
