Donald Gayle "Don" Calvert

ARLINGTON -- Donald Gayle Calvert, 85, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Funeral: 12 Noon Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 2:00 p.m. in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Don was born January 5, 1931 in Waverly, Kansas. He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. Survivors: Don is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joann; daughter, Linda Day of Houston; son, Michael & wife, Peggy of San Tan Valley, AZ; grandson, Danny Day & wife, Haley of Houston; granddaughters, Alex Calvert of Blue Ash, OH and Samantha Ingram & husband, Justin of Covington, OH; great-granddaughters, Payton & Paige Day; sisters, Jean Rath of Stover, MO. & Pat Deines of Camdenton, MO.
