Donald Lee Fitz

Donald Lee Fitz, 88, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Arlington, Texas. A graveside service for Donald will be on Monday, May 20, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Skyvue Cemetery, Mansfield, Texas. Donald was born on October 12, 1930 in Wheeling, West Virginia to Oscar C. and Mary (Pethtal) Fitz. Donald married his first love, Dorothy and was married for 69 years. He and Dorothy raised their three children, Victoria E. Fitz, Howard C. Fitz, and Michel T. Fitz. He was a real family man and was loved deeply by his wife and children. Donald graduated from the University of Cincinatti and worked in several different vocations, including oil refinery, printing and glass industries. He worked as a professional engineer with companies in Ohio and Texas. He was the Director of Engineering with Children's Hospital in Dallas and retired from the State of Texas with the Department of Aging and Disabilities for Texas. Donald was preceded n death by his parents, Oscar and Mary Fitz, and his son, Michael T. Fitz. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Victoria E. Fitz; son, Howard C. Fitz; four grandchildren, Beverly Rogers, and husband, Steven, Justin Fitz and wife, Pellie, Kathryn Mussack and husband, Ben, and Nancy Schiffman and husband, Dave; five great-grandchildren, Amelia, Talon, Tyler, Anthony and Whitney; one great-great-grandchild, Keira; and one brother, David C.
