PANTEGO -- Dolly Sue Sims, 80, beloved mother and Mema, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015, in Arlington.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, at Bethel Baptist Church in Aztec, N.M. Interment: 3 p.m. Monday in Crestview Cemetery, Durango, Colo. Visitation: Prior to the service at the church.
Dolly was born July 20, 1934, in Brownfield to Scott Earl Eubank and Julia Catherine Presley Eubank. An Arlington resident for the past 20 years, she was a longtime resident of Durango, Colo., and Aztec, N.M. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Aztec and enjoyed her family, Bible study and reading.
Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, James Bernard Sims, who managed Lakewood Shopping Center in Pantego for many years.
Survivors: Daughters, Debra Sutherlin and husband, Kenny, of Durango, Colo., and Brenda Slaughter and husband, Steve, of North Richland Hills; son, Bart Sims and wife, Jill, of Azle; sister, Tommie Farrell; brother, Curtis Dewayne Huckabee; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
