Deric Alan Gill Bentley

Deric Alan Gill Bentley went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 18, 2021 at the age of 50. He had frontotemporal dementia and battled this horrible disease for 8 years. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment: 11:30 a.m. January 26, 2021 at Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Deric was born on March 30, 1970 in Des Moines, Iowa to Alan and Jan Bentley. The family moved to Arlington, Texas when he was 2. Deric graduated from Arlington High School in 1988 then went back to school and got his college degree in 2013. He worked as an IT support and CDM Smith for 18 years until the disease took over. Deric's pride and joy was his daughter, Haley Bentley. You could always find those two together doing whatever she wanted, including mud runs. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Our family would like to thank each and everyone at Revere Court for taking such great care of Deric for the last two and a half years. Thank you to Embrace Hospice for the end care and to Kristi Farris for going above and beyond to be with him. Deric was preceded in death by his daughter, Haley Bentley; and his mother, Jan Bentley. Survivors: Father, Alan Bentley; sisters, Marni Watson and husband, Mike, Vicki Serenil and husband, Mike; niece, Darcee Fletcher and husband, Jason; and nephews, Ryan Watson and wife, Claire, Colton Watson, Cody Nunez and Cameron Nunez; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.
