ARLINGTON- Dennis Hayden Christie unexpectedly passed away April 20, 2017.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 2100 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas. Interment: 1:30 p.m., Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane 3.

Dennis was born on January 24, 1966 in Plainfield, N.J. and lived there until 1979, when his family moved to Arlington. From 1987-1992, he served in the U.S. Army as Combat Engineer with NATO Forces, and was called back for the first Gulf War. He received many commendations. Dennis worked as assistant plant manager for Rifle Water Treatment Plant in Rifle, Colorado. Dennis' love of skiing and the outdoors led him to Colorado where he spent his free time biking, hiking, kayaking, spelunking, scuba diving and exploring the world around him. Like his parents, he loved to travel and study history, and enjoyed sharing his discoveries with his niece and nephew.
Dennis was a kind, thoughtful, gentle, and loving person who was devoted to his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors: parents John H. Christie and Carol J. Christie of Arlington, Texas; brother Terry Christie and sister-in-law Lisa Christie of Helotes, Texas; sister Nora Puckett and brother-in-law Fredric Puckett, niece Penelope Puckett, and nephew Frederic Puckett of Ennis, Texas.
