Arlington, Texas - Denise (Kilmer) Billingsley, 71, passed Saturday, March 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a political activist and a defender of rights for all. Often the center of a good joke, a funny story, a wild idea, or a debate over happenings in the news, she will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Born August 2, 1953, to Eugene and Ethel Kilmer in Arlington, Texas where she called home. Denise, also known as Mom, Gammy, Aunt Neecy, and Aunt Denise, was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Eugene Kilmer; her brothers and best friend, Colin Kilmer, Gene Kilmer, and Wonder Dog. Denise is survived by her children, Robin Billingsley, Rachael Quint, and Michael Billingsley; beloved granddaughter, Sayde; and beloved grandson, Kegan. She is also survived by cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and a very close group of friends.
Denise’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her soul rest in peace and may her love inspire those who were blessed to be a part of her life.
In lieu of flowers, Denise would ask that you please vote in your next state and local elections, which she felt were the most important.
