Deborah Roberts

June 28, 1951 — April 19, 2024

Deborah, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, nurse, and friend, passed away peacefully with her children at home on April 19. Originally from Sunderland England, Deborah brought her warmth and resilience to Texas, where she lived most of her life.

Deborah dedicated her career to nursing, touching countless lives with her compassion and care. Her commitment to helping others was paralleled only by her devotion to her family. She was a beloved mother to Morgan and Olivia and adored her granddaughter, Ella, who brought immense joy and laughter into her life.

An avid reader you could often find her reading a book. She loved to travel and was always up to go on an adventure. At home, she was an enthusiastic participant in local pickleball and tennis leagues, where her competitive yet cheerful nature made her a favorite among her teammates.

Deborah’s love for trivia nights was well-known among her friends and family, and she looked forward to every week, where everyone was welcome to join. These evenings were not just about the game for Deborah, but a time to laugh and bond with those she held dear.

Deborah was also a collector of friends, cultivating and maintaining friendships that spanned the globe and endured for over fifty years. Despite distances and the passing of time. Her ability to connect deeply with others, remember important details about their lives, and always be there made her a beloved figure in many circles.

Deborah’s legacy is one of love, service, and joy. Her dedication to others was reflected in the team of nurses and friends surrounding and caring for her in her final days keeping her safely at home. Her remarkable spirit and kind heart will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Deborah leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to
inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her
beloved son, Morgan Roberts; cherished daughter, Olivia Covey, and son-in-
law, Adrian; devoted sister, Janice Gibson, and brother-in-law, Steven; adoring
niece, Lauren, and her loving family; and her cherished grandchildren,
Ella Covey and Sora Fabian. She is also survived by a multitude of friends
spanning the United Kingdom, Ireland, and America, all of whom were
touched by her warmth and generosity.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 2-5 PM at
the River Crest Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, where friends and loved
ones will gather to honor and remember the beautiful life of Deborah Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Society.
