Deborah Jean “Debbie” Hunter, 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in Arlington, Texas.

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Monday, November 14, at St. Barnabas United Methodist Church, 5011 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd., Arlington.
Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Debbie was born on September 7, 1949 in Evansville, Indiana to Robert David Beierlein and Florence Mildred Strupp Beierlein. She retired as an elementary school teacher for the public school system. Debbie was honored as Teacher of the Year in the AISD.

Her love of gardening of flowers and plants came from her parents and grandparents; they owned and operated greenhouses. Debbie loved her German heritage. She enjoyed taking pictures and scrapbooking.

Debbie was passionate about her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and cooking for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Survivors: Husband of 51 years, Donald Wayne “Don” Hunter; daughters, Karen Atchison and husband, Matt, and Stephanie Barber and husband, Scott; brother, James “Jim” Beierlein and wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Alaina Barber, Luke Barber, Hunter Atchison and Taylor Atchison; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
