David Stewart

William David Stewart, age 69, passed away on January 10, 2025. He was born in Fort Worth Texas on July 23, 1955.

David was proud to work for the phone company. He worked for Southwestern Bell for over 38 years. He dedicated his professional career to serving Southwestern Bell and their customers. It was the "family business" as both his father and brother were also telephone company men.

David was an exceptional baseball player. His skill shaped his love for sports. Not just baseball, but all sports. He adored his Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, and the TCU Horned Frogs. He enjoyed watching any sporting event he could. One of his favorite things was to watch the Cowboys with his family. It was a tradition to gather at his parents' house to cheer on the Cowboys. Most recently, he enjoyed texting various family members during the game to make sure they were watching and get their opinion on the game.

One of David's greatest loves was his dogs! He loved his Honey Bear, Misty, and Duke.

David loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed participating in any event celebrating them. He would be at every birthday party, graduation or wedding. He was so very proud of them all.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Evelyn; and brother, Steve Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Reba Stewart; brother, Jimmy and wife, Rikki; sister, Julie Headrick and husband, Terry; son, Jon Stewart and wife, Allison; daughter, Mendi Stroud and husband, Jim; daughter, Elizabeth Price and husband Jake; son, Matthew Stewart; and son, Garrett Stewart and wife, Candace; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

His family is saddened at this loss. David will be deeply missed. His humor, love of family, and sports left a mark on us all. His spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
