David J. Fletcher

ARLINGTON -- David J. Fletcher, 77, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at his home in Arlington. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. David was born Feb. 14, 1937, in Lamar County to Carl Fletcher and Josie Short Fletcher. He was a longtime Arlington resident and had been a member of Mayfield Road Baptist Church for the past six years. David worked at Texas Concrete, now Hanson Concrete, in Grand Prairie for 20 years and later at Tom Thumb before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Hilda Fletcher, in 1999.
