Obituary for Dany Tran
"For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come." - Hebrews 13:14
Giuse Tran Dany, a longtime resident of Texas, returned to the arms of our gracious Lord on March 21st, 2024, at the age of 56. Dany deeply understood that true love is best expressed through generosity, giving, and compassion. Through his love of cooking he shared his talents with his friends, family, and community. His passion for bolero music brings jovial radiance into all the rooms that he has ventured into. As a fisherman of God, his lasting gift is the wisdom he imparted to his children, guiding them to be kind, faithful, and better people. Much like the lucky catches of spearfish, catfish, and more, every moment offers an opportunity to practice patience and virtue through acts of kindness.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
- 2 Timothy 4:7
Dany is survived by his children: Giuse Tran Bon and Giuse Tran Ben; and by his siblings Phanxico Tran Ngoc Hoai, Giuse Tran Ngoc Huong (Peter), Anna Tran Thi Phuc, Ine Tran Thi Hien, Maria Tran Thi Lanh, Gioan Baotixita Tran Huu Manh, Teresa Tran Thi Hieu Nghia; nephews and nieces: Pham T Hong Duc, Nguyen Bryan, Tran Bo, Nguyen Tran Duy Khang, Nguyen Duy Tan.
Preceded in death by his parents: Phero Tran Van Thu and Martha Hien Thi Hoang
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?"
- John 14: 1-3
You may be gone, but you'll forever be in our hearts. We will meet again one day.
