ARLINGTON -- Danny Carrol Bates, 53, passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, in Tyler. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to TAO Animal Rescue, www.taoanimalrescue.com. Danny was born on May 21, 1963 in Center, Texas and was a longtime resident of Arlington, Texas. The world has lost a great man today. Danny was the kindest, most gentle person. God called for him therefore we must somehow understand that he is now serving in a whole different way. He will be forever missed by so many people. Survivors: Son, Casey Bates; two daughters, Leslie Bates and Dani Blair Bates; grandson, Grayson West; the love of his life, Christie Crawford and her son, Cody Crawford and her daughter, Lindsey Crawford; his mother, Brooksie Bates; father, Carrol Eugene Bates; sister, Kathy Beck and husband, Patrick; brother, Tony Bates and fiancé, Mary Perkins; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
