Daniel Ricardo “Dan” Rangel, 54, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
A visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the funeral home. A burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Dan was born on October 4, 1966 in Arlington, Texas to Arnulfo Rangel and Roberta Puig. He graduated from Lamar High School in Arlington. After graduating, he earned a bachelor's degree in communications/advertising and a bachelor's degree in business/information technology from The University of Texas at Arlington. Dans wife, Laura was so lucky to have met him by chance at a Blockbuster Video where they both worked a summer job during college. They married on December 19, 1992 and spent almost 30 wonderful years together.
Dan dedicated his life to loving, protecting, and caring for his family and friends. He loved them all with everything he had a made sure they always felt his love.
Dan was very adventurous and lived life to the fullest. He loved cycling with friends, playing soccer on various recreational teams as well as with his friends from work, and fishing. He loved coaching his daughter's soccer team and being a supportive and involved “dance dad” for his daughter's dance teams. He shared a love of music with his oldest daughter and the challenge of fixing, repairing, and creating things with his youngest daughter.
He made the family better by being in their lives and he will be deeply missed by all that loved him so dearly.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Laura (Johns) Rangel; daughters, Madison and Ella; mother, Roberta Puig; sister, Melinda Cantu; father and mother-in-law; Vaughn and Carolyn Johns; sister-in-law, Michelle Bonner and husband Michael; brother-in-law, Trey Johns and wife Sarah; nieces, Stephanie Via and husband Casey, Ashley Bonner, Lauren Bonner, Tatum Johns, and Torrance Johns; nephews, Charles Petsch and wife Amy, Ryan Bonner, Chance Johns, and Pheonix Johns.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arnulfo Rangel.
