ARLINGTON -- Daniel J. Backus, 69, passed away on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, in Arlington. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Dan was born Aug. 8, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Charles and Anne Backus. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jared Backus; nephew, Chuckie Backus; and sister-in-law, Cookie Backus. Survivors: Wife of 39 years, Carol Backus; son, Tony Backus; daughter, Tracy Backus; brother, Charles Backus; sister, Charla Teul and husband, Jules; granddaughters, Kara and Ava; and cousins and many friends.
