Dagmar Ann Weatherly

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Dagmar A. Weatherly, originally of Boonton, New Jersey. Who passed on April 17, 2024, at the age of 81 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lysti Cannon; granddaughter, Claire and son-in-law Michael; siblings Sigrid Tracy, David Johanson and Karin Valentine as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She will also be dearly missed by her friends to whom she had become close while in residence at the Town Village Crossing. At Dagmar Weatherly’s request, no service will be held.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Town Village Crossing for their care and compassion.

Born in Boonton, New Jersey, she moved after graduating from Virginia Intermont College to California where she met and married her late husband Dennis Weatherly and relocated to Ringwood, New Jersey. She later moved to Texas in 1996. Dagmar was an executive secretary for over 30 years and devoted wife and mother. Dagmar was an avid reader and made the best Christmas cookies! Her creative pursuits included needlepoint, knitting, playing piano and mastering crossword puzzles. She was also able to enjoy world travel (camping in New Hampshire, exploring Colorado, white water rafting and seeing the northern lights in Alaska, experiencing Japan, swimming in Hawaii and discovering Germany). She loved to sing folk music with abandonment while harmonizing in perfect pitch. Dagmar lived by and taught the golden rule with a healthy teaspoon of sarcasm. She has decided not to vote in this year’s election.
