Cynthia Kay Mayfield, 55, of Arlington, Texas, passed away Sunday morning July 18th 2021 following a long illness. She was born on June 18, 1966, in Irving, Texas to Sid and Ann Wheat of Grand Prairie, Texas.
Cindy was preceded in passing by her mother Ann Wheat and brother Robert Elton and by her grandparents Glen Wheat and Tennie Marie Richey, Bill and Maelee Young.
Left to cherish her memory are her father Sid Wheat and stepmother Sammie Wheat of Bryant, Arkansas. Two Sons, Robert Lane, of Dallas, Texas, his wife Stephanie, and Russell Lane and his girlfriend Vanessa of Kennedale, Texas. She is also survived by the light of her life, her 6 grandchildren.
Cindy attended South Grand Prairie High School. She worked for a while at Dallas Auto Auction, Basden Steel, and The Bombay Co. She had just started attending City on a Hill Church in Fort Worth, Texas. She loved fishing at Joe Pool and Lake Arlington. She has two cats, Sissie and Cheech, whom she adored and where loyal companions. Her favorite pass time was playing with her grandkids. Even in illness Cindy has a smile on her face and laughing, especially when she was talking about her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Mathew Road Baptist Church, 4601 Matthew Road in Grand Prairie, Texas 75052 on Saturday August 7th,2021. Visitation is at 10:00 and the service is at 11:00am. Pastor Daniel Sweet officiating.
