In sorrowful regret we announce the passing of Cody Allen Stewart. He passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 from a fatal gunshot wound. Cody was a beloved son, brother and friend whose life was energetic to be around, his faithfulness and passion will be truly missed.
Cody was born in Lubbock Texas on June 15th 2005. Cody is survived by his siblings Morghan Stewart, Marcus Stewart, Natalie Stewart and his father, Ross Stewart,, Grandparents Roene
Stewart, Ricky Stewart, ED and Lori Foster. Cody was a beloved son, whose life was defined by his unwavering devotion to being an older brother to his younger siblings, Marcus Stewart, Natalie Stewart and Morghan Stewart, his older sister whom Cody admired and unconditionally loved. Cody attended Denton high School in Denton Texas he graduated in the class of 2023.
Cody lived and worked in Denton TX. He was the manager at a local storage facility, a job he had several years. He had recently just moved into his own apartment for the first time by himself, which opened him up to the realities of adulthood, where he was grasping it by the horns and choosing his own direction. Cody's passions were working on cars like his dad, playing games online, listening to music and going to concerts with his friends.
Despite the tragic circumstances surrounding his death, and his time on earth being cut short, Cody is now able to rest in peace with his late mother, Kathy Stewart. Cody will be buried at Pleasant Hill cemetery in Clovis New Mexico, next to his mother and Grandparents Roland and Lori Goforth.
Cody will be missed for his strong will and ability to tell you how it is. His beautiful smile and ability to make people talk about tough subjects. Rest in peace My Boy, we all love you very much, god bless your soul. You made your father very proud because you weren't afraid to stand up for yourself or for others, and you always made sure your family members were okay. Cody, your legacy of unwaveringly staying true to yourself will be carried on by your family and your friends. God bless you
