Clyde Gilbert Floyd

Arlington, Texas – Clyde Gilbert Floyd, 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Gilbert was born on July 19,1939 in Coleman, Texas to Donald and Sybil Floyd. He was a wonderful husband, dad, and Papa. The love he had for his family and friends was unwavering. Gilbert graduated from Midlothian High School in 1957 where he was voted as class favorite. He was also a member of the Arlington Senior Men’s Golf Association and was recognized as the 2015 Man of the year. We must not forget about his love of TCU football! Go Frogs! He will be missed dearly.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggie Floyd; and brothers, Donald and Fred Floyd. Survivors: wife, Gini Floyd; daughter, Misti Wright (Cary); sons, Ron Floyd (Kelli) and Brian Blanchette (Rachel); grandchildren, Chase Wright, Lauren Wright, Emily Floyd, Cayenne Blanchette, Erin Trafford (Paul); and great-grandkids, Vali, Azalea, Lola, and Nora Jo. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of your choice in Gilbert’s honor.

A visitation will be held from 12:30 pm -1:30 pm on Friday, October 20, 2023 with a funeral service following from 1:30 pm – 2:00 pm at Wade Funeral Home. There will be a Graveside Service at Midlothian Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
