ARLINGTON -- Wayne Chambers, 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, in Arlington.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1200 W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens with Masonic graveside rites. Visitation: The family will receive family and friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in Dallas.
Wayne was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Frederick, Okla., to Cloyd and Louise Chambers. Wayne had lived in the Arlington and Mansfield area for the past 56 years. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, where he served as an usher for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Wayne was a longtime member of the Moslah Temple Clown Unit, a 50-year Blue Lodge member of the Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Sundown Kiwanis Club.
Wayne owned and operated Chambers Automotive and three Texaco service stations in Arlington.
Survivors: His wife of 58 years, Sandra; son, Don and wife, Renee Chambers; daughter, Kara LeMay; sister, Norma Mabry; grandchildren, Valerie, Alexander, Devon and Harley; and great-grandson, Jack.
