Claudine Cromer Blaylock, 81, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Arlington, TX. Funeral: 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Tate Springs Baptist Church, 4201 Little Road, Arlington, TX 76016 with Reverends Bart McDonald and Terry Jeffries officiating. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Tate Springs Baptist Church Building Fund or Walls Universal Health Resources, 1208 Country Club Lane, Fort Worth, TX 76112. Claudine was born on September 21, 1934 in Naples, TX to Sybil Rhea Knighton Cromer and James Herbert Cromer. She married Harry Long Blaylock in New Boston, TX in 1962. She earned an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University - Commerce and a graduate degree in nutrition from Texas Women's University. She was employed for many years as a County Extension Agent by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. She moved to Arlington in 1978. She began a second career as a teacher in the AISD in 1982 and retired in 1992. She loved her former students and spoke fondly of them often. After retiring, Claudine volunteered in various ministries at Tate Springs Baptist Church and at Walls Universal Hospice. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking for them, sewing, and traveling. Her retirement was made complete by the addition of three grandchildren whom she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with. She was an active member of Tate Springs Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving in a variety of areas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Harry, and her parents. Her family would like to thank the staff of Walls Universal Home Health and Hospice Services and Brookdale Memory Care & Assisted Living (Lake Arlington). They provided not only excellent care, but wonderful friendship and love. Survivors: Son, Jim Blaylock and wife, Julie, of Mansfield, TX; granddaughter, Laura Tiemeyer and husband, Caleb, of Abilene, TX; granddaughter Lindsey Blaylock and grandson Luke Blaylock, of Mansfield, TX; brother, Bill Cromer and wife, Janie, of Rusk, TX; aunt, Jane Cromer of Mt. Pleasant, TX; sister-in-law Glenda Rogers and husband, James, of Guntown, MS, sister-in-law Ellen Turner and husband, Jerry, of Baldwyn, MS, and sister-in-law Margie Herndon and husband, John, of Saltillo, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
