RLINGTON -- Clarence "Pete" Victor Petersen, 92, loving husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 27, 2014, in Arlington.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Grand Prairie Bible Church, 1217 S. Carrier Pkwy., Grand Prairie. Interment: 1 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington.

Clarence was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He proudly served his country in U.S. Marine Corps, serving in the Pacific during World War II in the 3rd Marine Division.
He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Iowa State. Clarence spent his career in engineering with General Dynamics, LTV and the Army Corps of Engineers.
Clarence was a longtime member of Grand Prairie Bible Church and was very active in Gideons International.
Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Bonnie Petersen; daughters, Sharon Brown, Diane Flagtvedt (Larry) and Janet Petersen; sister, Grace Jorgensen of Iowa; grandchildren, Jace Brannen (Yolanda), Jennifer Brannen (Mitchell), Marissa Brown, Derrick Brown (Christine); great-grandchildren, Laura, Anthony, Brenden, Jeffery, Elyse and Corbin; great-great-granddaughter, Jenni; and host of family and friends.
