Clair Frank Jones

July 11, 1934 — June 25, 2020

Bud was born July 11, 1934 and went to be with his Lord June 25, 2020. Bud was happily married to his wife, Carol Jones, for 37 years and resided in DeCordova Bend Estates in Granbury, Texas 20 of those years. He loved his children, daughter, Donna Lynn and husband, David Rizos; son, Alan and his wife, Jennifer Jones; stepsons, Jeff and Jay Shoemake; grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Hannah, Zachary and Jacob Shoemake; great-grandchildren, Mason, Brooks and Lucy Belle. After graduating high school in 1951 he joined the Navy and became an Aviation Electrical Technician and was a member of the Air Development Squadron Six. He was a qualified Search and Rescue parachutist, and was an Honorary member of Royal Charter of Deep Freeze in the Antarctica. He traveled with Elmo Jones, a Chief Photographer for Disney at McDura Sound. After his Navy service he went back to Oklahoma City and graduated college from Oklahoma City University with a degree in Business Intelligence and Analytics. Bud was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Order Blue Key Honorary Fraternity and Epsilon Pi Tau Honorary Fraternity. He worked for Martin Co., Lockheed Missile and Space Division, Motorola Semi-Conductor and Siemens Corporation. He worked as a Manufactures Rep. and Development Specialist. He loved playing tennis, gold and boating prior to and during his years of retirement...and of course his Church. Bud will be greatly missed by his many friends, his Monday morning breakfast get to gathers, his golfing buddies and all who knew him.
