It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Cameron Cole, who left us on January 11, 2025, at the age of 62. He was born on July 22, 1962, in San Bernardino, California, to Rudolph Amos and Jeannine Dolores (Elder) Cole.

Chris lived a content and joyful life. He was not preoccupied by the worries of the past or uncertainties of the future but chose to live in the present, making the most of each day. A self-proclaimed mischievous child, Chris’s youthful antics, which included jumping trains with his brothers and unplanned adventures with his childhood friends, painted the picture of a free-spirited child who sought and embraced excitement. Furthermore, Chris exhibited a level of competitiveness that knew no bounds. Whether man, woman or child, when it came to play, both sports and family game nights, Chris made it his duty to show no mercy. He maintained this love for competition his entire life and it became one of his most adored traits.

Though Chris faced numerous challenges in his life, he always found a way to persevere. He was the youngest of four children, and the loss of his sister in a tragic car accident in his early years and his brother Russ to brain cancer in 2011 were heart-wrenching events that shaped his journey. After earning his GED, Chris went on to serve in the United States Army, joining the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina (now Fort Liberty), where he proudly served his country.

Chris later entered the HVAC industry, running his own business until he could no longer work due to health issues. Throughout his life, Chris was known for his love of sports, especially his unwavering loyalty to the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Dodgers. He enjoyed nothing more than watching a good game or playing games with his family, with his love of Pokémon bringing a smile to his face in his later years.

A man who never took life too seriously, Chris’s lighthearted spirit and sense of humor were infectious. Even in his final days, he protected those he loved with his trademark humor, fully aware of his diagnosis. His family and friends meant the world to him, and he cherished every opportunity to connect with them, often spending his days checking in on the people who mattered most.

Though Chris’s absence will be deeply felt, the memories of his infectious laughter, playful spirit, and love for his family will continue to bring comfort. He leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and kindness, always putting others before himself. Chris is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, and his brother Russ. He is survived by his brother Jeff; three children, Jerry, Krista, and David; and five grandchildren, Aubriannah, Kai, Mila, Ezra, and Azaylia. Chris’s memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones and friends.
