Christena was preceded in death by her great grandparents Gene and Alta Hammett who raised her until she was nine years old, and grandmother Melba Cowin who raised her for the rest of her life, husband Victor Monroe, and son Victor Monroe Jr.

Christena was a free-spirited soul who had an incredible passion for traveling. She found great joy in exploring new places, embarking on cruises with her cherished family and friends. As a member of the “bad girl’s club,” a sisterhood shared with her closest friends which include Kenda Hayes, Shaunta Taylor and Andrea Sopko, Christena created bonds that would last a lifetime. Her genuine friendships were a testament to her warm heart and infectious laughter.

She always sought out the best local eateries to satisfy her cravings and indulged in culinary adventures with her loved ones. Christena’s vibrant spirit extended beyond her taste buds – she adored getting her nails done and taking pride in how they looked. Her stunning nails always reflected her radiant, spunky personality.

Sports brought Christena great excitement, particularly when it came to her beloved Dallas Cowboys football team. She would eagerly gather with family and friends to cheer passionately for her team, showcasing her unwavering loyalty and enthusiasm. Moreover, Christena’s favorite color, royal blue, truly captured her vibrant and dynamic nature.

Christena held a special place in her heart for everyone she met. Her kindness and love knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of many. She adored her grandbabies, showering them with endless love and affection. Her daughter, Destini, was her pride and joy, and she spoiled her with all the love a mother could give.

One cannot mention Christena without acknowledging the distinctive scent she carried. Her signature fragrance, evoking memories of joy and togetherness, will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune of encountering it.
