MANSFIELD -- Charlotte Anne Fichte Moore, 77, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, in Mansfield.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, preceded by visitation 1 to 2 p.m. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington.
Charlotte was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Oxford, Miss., to Kenneth LaClede Buzbee and Louanna Vick Buzbee. After high school, she earned her undergraduate degree from Memphis State University and her master's from North Texas State.
Charlotte had been a resident of Arlington since 1958 with a short stint of her life spent in Tennessee. While in Arlington, she taught in the Arlington ISD, retiring after 33 years of service. Charlotte's dedication to teaching inspired her to start the volunteer program within the Arlington ISD. Charlotte finished her teaching career in Tennessee before moving back to the area.
She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Arlington and then at First United Methodist Church in Mansfield. Charlotte was also a member of the teaching sorority Alpha Gamma Delta.
Survivors: Son, Gene Fichte and wife, Karen; daughter, Jana Terrasi and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Hannah and Justin Powless and Benjamin Fichte; step-grandsons, Ross and Spencer Terrasi; and sister, Carole Buzbee.
