Charlette Cam Mahomes

Charlette Cam Mahomes, 34, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 in Grand Prairie.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 11, at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, August 12, at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service in Belle Hall at the funeral home.

Charlette was born on August 30, 1988 in Dallas, Texas to Charles Edward Mahomes and Effie Love Harris Mahomes. She graduated from UNT with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and was on the Dean’s List. She also worked for Amazon and was a hard worker.

Charlette enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and attending live concerts. Growing up she enjoyed playing the violin. She loved cartoons and video games. She enjoyed beauty products and listening to all genres of music.

She had her own sense of style and liked vintage clothing. Charlette always took care of the things she had. She was a good cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She found simple pleasure in things like drinking LaCroix and Bubly. She loved butterflies and her favorite color was purple.

Charlette was a simple person, calm and reserved. She was very affectionate and loving, and gave the best hugs. She radiated sweetness and love. Charlette loved to tell jokes and had an infectious laugh that will be missed.

She dearly loved her family and always told them that she loved them. Her favorite saying was “Keep it movin.”

Charlette is survived by her parents Charles & Effie Mahomes. Her maternal grandmother Bobbie Ruth Harris. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Mary Johnson. Her siblings are Cicley Clemons, Corey Clemons, Teena Clemons, Tasha Turley and her husband Troy Turley.
Her nieces are Brittni, Aerial, Cierra, & Layla. Her nephews are DeAndre, Christopher, Marcus, Kaden & Darren.
