ARLINGTON -- Charles John "Chuck" Blair, 75, beloved husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in Arlington. Funeral: 12:00 noon Tuesday, October 18, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane B. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to the American Lung Association, New World United Methodist Church or charity of your choice. Chuck was born on January 22, 1941 in Mineral Wells to Charles Medley Blair and Margaret Allen Utley Blair. An Arlington resident of 55 years, he was a member of New World United Methodist Church. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1959 and Texas Wesleyan University in May of 1974. Chuck married Viv Ann Alexander on February 28, 1970 in Terrell, TX. He served in the U.S. Navy as a flight mechanic and was a Vietnam veteran. Chuck later went to work for Bell Helicopter for 40 years as an engineer and program manager, retiring in 2004. He loved cars of any kind, and enjoyed golfing and sports. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, James Thomas Blair; and his best buddy, Gator. Survivors: Wife of 46 years, Viv Ann Alexander Blair; daughter, Amber Blair; son, Charles Garrett Blair; and a host of family and friends. Wade Family Funeral Home Arlington, 817-274-9233
