On December 26, 1961, the world welcomed Glynn "Chad" Rabe into Dallas, Texas. Where Emory, a small town in East Texas, became home. A gentle soul who would go on to make an indelible mark on everyone lucky enough to know him. As we gather to honor and celebrate his life, we remember a man of immense kindness, generosity, and humor, who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 63, in Arlington, Texas.

Chad’s journey through life was one filled with love, adventure, and achievement. In 1991, he married his soulmate, Diane Marie. They sealed their love story on October 12th, a day that would mark the beginning of many beautiful years together. Chad’s love for Diane was rivaled only by his love for their sons, David and Hunter. Chad took immense pride in being the best father he could be. A fact made evident when he shouldered an 80-pound pack to join Hunter on a memorable 124-mile hike up Philmont for a Boy Scouts trip.

In his professional life, Chad was a master behind the wheel, celebrated for his extraordinary skills in Trucking Rodeos for Coca-Cola and AutoZone. His prowess earned him almost forty years in the trucking industry, where he proudly claimed the title of "Million Miles Safe Driver," a testament to his dedication and skill.

Though Chad’s parents, Louise Dunn Rabe and Glynn Rabe, as well as his brother Scott Rabe, passed before him, his legacy lives on through those he cherished. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Marie Rabe, his devoted sister, Dianna Rabe, and his sons, David Matthew Gonzales and Hunter Glynn Rabe. Each of them carries a piece of Chad’s spirit in their hearts.

Family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know Chad are invited to pay their respects at Wade's Funeral Home, located in Arlington, TX. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 11th from 6pm to 8pm, followed by a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 12th at 2pm. As we remember Chad, let us carry forward his guiding principle: "Do unto others as you would have them done unto you."

Chad’s life was a testament to the power of kindness and the joy of laughter. He left this world a better place and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
