Carol Newsome Patton

Carol Ann Newsome-Patton, of Arlington, TX, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, in Arlington, TX.

The Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Tx 76013.

Carol was born on Saturday, August 25, 1945 in St. Louis, MO to Lorraine Newsome and Elbert Sturgis, JR.

She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, friend and colleague to all that knew and loved her. Carol worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections for many years before she retired.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine; father, Elbert; and brother, Gerald Ghant.
Carol was survived by her son, Darren Bracy; daughter-in-law, Paula Bracy; grandson, Nicholas Bracy; granddaughter, Bianca Bracy; great-granddaughter, Summer Bracy-Caldwell; sister, Sandra Newsome-Ransom, brother, George Newsome, sister, Vanessa Ghant, brother, Patrick Washum, sister, Lisa Lambert, sister, Connie Donath, sister, Joan Sturgis, and brother, Glenn Sturgis.
