Carl David Hackley, 94, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 in Arlington. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 15, at the funeral home. Carl was born on March 19, 1925 in Des Moines, IA to John Francis Hackley and Effie Mable Miller Hackley. An Arlington resident since 1972, he retired as an engineer in the automotive industry. Carl loved golf and bowling. He played golf every Thursday at Lake Arlington Golf Course. He enjoyed woodworking and building furniture. Survivors: Wife, Janet Hackley; sons, David Hackley and wife, Debbie, Marcus Hackley, Stephen Hackley and wife, Pamela, Robert Hackley and wife, Fawn, and Thomas Hackley and wife, Cara, Jeff Long and wife, Linda, and Greg Long and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Mary Kay Anderson;; sister, Barbara Jean Conrad; 16 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
