NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Bret Guy Carpenter, 55, went to be with the Lord after a long battle with brain cancer at his home surrounded by the love and support of his family and friends. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington. Graveside service: 3 p.m. in Graceland Cemetery, Jermyn. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m Monday at the funeral home. Bret was born March 31, 1958, in Fort Worth to Ronald and Eva Kemp Carpenter. He worked as an engineering technician for Bell Helicopter. Bret was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Pat Eugene Garth. Survivors: Wife, Peggy Carpenter; sons, Grady Carpenter and Daniel Carpenter and wife, Darcy; brother, Lance Carpenter; sister, Pamela Clawson; stepbrother, Shawn Carpenter; mother-in-law, Bonnie Garth; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
