Born on January 19, 2004 in Arlington, Texas Brenden moved to Venus with his family in 2007. At school he was a model student. He participated in athletics for Venus Middle School where he was also a member of the National Junior Honor Society and served on the Student Council. Baseball was his true love, a sport he played year round at the select level and anxiously looked forward to taking the field as a Bulldog in high school. Among the other activities he enjoyed were his family ski trips each winter and vacations to the beach every summer but perhaps his favorite was his annual stay at Heart of Gold's Camp Moss for heart patients at the Camp John Marc facility in North Texas. Blessed with an infectious smile and a vibrant personality Brenden never met a stranger, made friends instantly, and positively impacted everyone he came in contact with. He was loved by students and faculty alike, was always the first to lend a helping hand, and placed others before himself. His quick wit was accompanied by an easy disposition allowing him to find the humor in almost any situation and the ability to laugh at himself the hardest. There was not a mean bone in his body and anyone who met him would agree there was absolutely nothing wrong with his heart. Survivors: Brenden is survived by his parents Amanda and Winfred Ward III, sisters Alllison and Madelyn Ward. His grandparents Debbie Meadows and Bobby Cole and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
