Boyd Eugene Griffin

Boyd E. Griffin, 87, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 in North Richland Hills. Graveside Service: 1 p.m. Friday, April 9, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fort Worth Air Power Council. Boyd was born on September 7, 1933 in Waco, TX to George Griffin and Margaret Vinson Griffin. He graduated from Marlin High School. An Air Force Veteran, he served for 37 years as an FAA Air Traffic Controller. He was a member of Fort Worth Air Power Council, and was a past President of Walnut Creek Men's Golf Association. Boyd enjoyed golf, computers, gardening, and woodworking. Survivors: Wife, Pat Griffin; children, Terri Melling, Greg Griffin, Debra Amberson, Laina Heathman, Carolyn Westerlage, David Mentesana, and Joe Mentesana; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and another one on the way.
