ARLINGTON -- Bonnie Jacoway Bledsoe, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in Arlington.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home.
Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Bonnie was born Jan. 14, 1925, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to William and Edna Jacoway. Bonnie was the eldest of three daughters and a graduate of the University of Tennessee Chattanooga where she received her teaching degree. While visiting her cousin in Corpus Christi she met her husband, Inmon, at a naval officers dance. Bonnie and Inmon were wed on June 25, 1949, in Chattanooga, Tenn. They moved to Arlington in 1955 where they raised their three daughters. Bonnie was a beautiful southern lady who adored her family. She was so proud of all her children and enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Inmon Terrell Bledsoe; infant son, Inmon Terrell Bledsoe, Jr.; and sister, Edna Gill.
Survivors: Daughters, Elizabeth Ann McClelland and husband, Woody, of Tyler, Amy Wade and husband, Mike, of Arlington, Bonnie Follis and husband, Jim, of Arlington; sister, Mary Stephenson and husband, Waite, of California; grandchildren, Michael McClelland and wife, Tonya, John McClelland, Leslie Seydler and husband, David, Ashley McClelland, Lauren Scott and husband, Chris, Keely Gillham and husband, Matt, Blake Wade, Beth Follis and Ben Follis; and eight great-grandchildren.
