BULLARD - Bob Davis, 71, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 after a long battle with a rare lung disease. Services: Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Funeral begins at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at Wade Family Funeral Home with close family friend, Rev. Bobby Bridges of Mayfield Road Baptist Church, officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation. Bob was born June 7, 1945 in Fort Worth to Merrill Lee Davis and Angie Lee Brewer Davis. A resident of Arlington for 36 years, Bob attended Arlington High School and was active in coaching boys and girls baseball, basketball and soccer teams in Arlington. He had a successful business career working 34 years for Conwood Sales Co., LLC, serving in many management positions beginning as a Sales Representative, District Sales Manager and then Regional Sales Manager. The last 10 years before retiring in 2007, he served as Vice President of Sales, Conwood Sales Co,, LLC headquartered in Memphis, TN. In 2007, he received the Prestigious Spirit of Texas Award from the Texas Grocery and Convenience Association. He and his wife, Elizabeth, moved to the Eagles Bluff Country Club community on Lake Palestine in East Texas to be closer to family. He served on several committees at the Eagle's Bluff Country Club enjoying playing golf with the Dew Boys group, fishing and hunting with his friends in West Texas. Bob's family wishes to thank the many friends and family who reached out to them during this difficult time. Survivors: Loving wife, Elizabeth; his children, Debra Hines of Keller, Bryan Davis and wife, Kimberly of Frisco, Ashley Barker and husband, Matt of Irving; grandsons, Andersen Davis, Jack Davis and Becks Davis; granddaughters, Roni Skelton and Taylor Hines; great-grandson, Aydin Skelton; sister, Gayle Davis; niece, Amber Spencer; nephew, Jared Trustman; step-daughters, Holly Casey and husband, Tommy, and Shannon Pickett and husband, Joe.
