Bobby Leon Leasman

Bobby Leon Leasman died on May 16, 2019 in Mansfield, TX due to complications from pneumonia. He was 79. Funeral Service: 12 Noon Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 11 a.m. - 12 noon prior to the service. Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, James Leasman. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Mary Leasman; his son Robert Leasman and his spouse Tina; his daughter Deborah Walker and her spouse Kevin; his sisters Dorothy Cherry, Joyce Hines, Brenda Bedford, Scarlet Benefield: his brother Roger Dale Leasman; two grandchildren Connor Leasman and Breanna Walker; and many close friends. He was born on May 11, 1940 in New Braunfels, TX to his parents, Edgar Leasman and Jessie Wright. Bobby joined the US Navy in 1959, serving for over 23 years, and was a Vietnam veteran, earning the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He married Mary Montero in San Francisco in 1963, and the family lived in various cities in Texas and California during his military career. Bobby was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church in Arlington, TX. His passions were reading his bible, working crossword puzzles, and enjoying sports - Bobby was an avid fan of his beloved University of Texas Longhorns. Wade Family Funeral Home 817-274-9233
