ARLINGTON -- Bobby Gene Moore, 87, member of a pioneer family, departed from this life on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
Services: Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Center St., Arlington with Dr. Charles Wade, Dr. Dennis Wiles and Reverend Bobby Bridges officiating. Interment is in Johnson Station Cemetery, Arlington.

One of 6 siblings from Ray R. and Nettie B. Archer Moore, Bobby was born on November 28, 1927 on the banks of Rush Creek in Tarrant County Texas at 4100 W. Arkansas Lane. He attended Pantego and Little Elementary Schools and graduated from Handley High School. Bobby graduated from UTA in 1963 with a BBA in Business Administration. He served in the U.S. Army in the 1950's during the Korean War. Bobby grew up in Woods Chapel Baptist Church and later moved his family membership to First Baptist Church in Arlington where they have been members for over 35 years. He was a very devout Christian and most fond of his Sunday school class.
Bobby's family were truck and dairy farmers. They primarily grew tomatoes, cantaloupes, watermelons, peaches, pears and peanuts. Most vegetables were delivered to the Fort Worth produce market.
Bobby spent his entire career in computer science working for Temco, Chance Vought, LTV, Alcon Laboratories, and Haggar Clothing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Weldon Moore, Katherine Brannon, Harold Moore and Wanda Klinger.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Belle Schoemaker Moore; sons, Jerry Moore and wife, Katie of the Netherlands and Mike Moore and wife, Barbara of Arlington; brother, Ken Moore and wife, Alice; grandchildren, Marilyn Moore of California and Ellen Moore of Arlington; step-grandchildren, Monica Beard-Raymond of Arkansas, Jason Eschberger of Georgetown, and Brittany Ouwendijk-Eschberger of the Netherlands.
