He attended first grade in Arlington, TX and then spent much of his growing up years in Burkburnett and Wichita Falls, TX. He graduated from Burkburnett High School and attended Midwestern State University where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Arlington became his home in 1969 and he began his career in the defense contract industry, employed by LTV in Grand Prairie. He also spent several years at Lockheed and retired from Bell Helicopter in 2011. Bob married Ann Kellett June 25, 1977. Two of Bob's greatest joys, his sons, Ross David and Scott Travis, soon graced their union. A lifelong baseball fan, he especially enjoyed coaching his sons' little league baseball teams throughout the years. His decision to complete his college education, at the age of 52, from Dallas Baptist University was made to be an example to his sons. Bob was an avid sports enthusiast, music lover, and seemed to know the make and model of any car that had ever been on the road. He had a never-ending supply of Texas expressions which combined with his great sense of humor, made for much laughter at family meals. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served for several years as secretary of a first grade Sunday School class. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife, Ann Kellett Hubble; sons, Ross David Hubble and wife, Gabriela, Scott Travis Hubble; brother, Jack Hubble; sister, Kathy Walton; aunt, Barbara Brewster; grandchildren, Phoenix and Jaxson; numerous cousins; a very special young family friend, Dylan Fowler; and his longtime pet, Sassy.
