Mr. Billy Allen Heffington

Billy Allen Heffington, 96, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 in Richland Hills, Texas.

There will be a Visitation for family and friends on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Tx 76013, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
The Graveside Service will be the following day, Wednesday, January 5th at 10:00 a.m., Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1219 N. Davis Street, Arlington, Tx 76012.

Billy was born to Robert Whitfield and Alice Mae (Gaines) Heffington on January 18, 1925, in Mesquite, Texas. He was raised in Denton, Tx and lived in Arlington for over 70 years. He attended First Baptist Church in Argyle. As a young man, he was very proud of his service in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Billy was a longtime employee of General Dynamics in management and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ruby Jo Brockett Heffington in 2012, brothers, Bob Heffington and Emery Heffington, and his sister, Marie Foster.

Survivors include one son, Michael Smith and wife, Joyce; one sister, Mickie Lilley; one grandson, Jarrod, two granddaughters, Amy and April (and husband, Kenny); eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A special “Thank You” to Donnie Shipps, Nelda Fails, and loving, caring neighbors.
