Billie Hopper Nowlin, 95, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Grace Street Fellowship, 1516 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Donations in Billie's name may be made to Bible Study Fellowship, 19001 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258 or Mission Arlington – Sports, 210 W. South Street, Arlington, TX 76010. Billie was born April 12, 1922 in Rising Star to John Thomas Hopper and Eunice Nunnally Hopper. Billie was a gifted educator who lived her earthly life as a dedicated servant of God. She taught High School and then went on to get her Master's Degree from North Texas State University and her Doctorate from TWU. Billie was a professor at Baylor University for 21 years and retired in 1989. After retirement, she moved to Laguna Park on Lake Whitney. 10 years ago, Billie moved to Arlington to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was preceded in death by her brother. Survivors: Daughter, Becky McCullough and husband, Jerry; grandson, Mark McCullough; niece, Debbie Clausen; nephew, Gene Hopper Jr.; and other family members and friends.
