Bill Robert Hopper

Bill Hopper, 69, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 while surrounded by his loving family. Service: Friday, July 7, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican Church, located at 3900 Morris Ln., Arlington, TX 76016. Visitation: Thursday, July 6, 2017, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX 76013. Bill was born in Winters, TX on October 25, 1947 to the late Bill L. Hopper and Jane Hopper Crain. Bill graduated from Texas Tech University in 1972 and had an influential career in the Dallas County Community Supervision and Corrections office, retiring after 33 years as the Deputy Director. Bill enjoyed traveling the world with his beloved wife, spending time with his sons on the golf course and cheering on the Red Raiders. He always put his family first and was truly a selfless man. Bill was an outstanding husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. Memorial gifts may be made to Dental Heath of Arlington, 501 Sanford St., Suite 11, Arlington, TX 76011. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Sally; sons, Matthew (Lindsey) and Mark (Megan); grandchildren, Evan and Margaret; brother, Roy (Marilyn); nieces, Karen Byrd, Jenna Dickson and Holly Reynolds.
