ARLINGTON -- Beverly Jean Mitchell, 57, passed serenely to her heavenly Father on Sunday, March 30, 2014, in Arlington. Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with Chaplain Chris Benavente officiating. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to two organizations she held dear to her heart, Arlington Life Shelter, 325 W. Division St., Arlington, Texas 76011, or Sisters of St. Mary of Namur, 909 W. Shaw St., Fort Worth, Texas 76110. Beverly was born May 11, 1956, in Graham to Othal William Barker and Joyce Evelyn Bennett Barker. She graduated from Graham High School and Texas Tech University. Beverly worked as a teacher for 27 years and bookkeeper for A-Fast Tile and Coping. She enjoyed traveling to Europe and the Caribbean. Beverly was a devoted wife and loving mother who will be missed and forever loved. A devout Christian, she will be with God our Father and we will meet again when our time comes. We love you.
