Beverly Ann Steed Carpenter, 77, passed away on May 24, 2018 in Arlington, Texas.
Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, Epworth United Methodist Church, 1400 S. Cooper St., Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Beverly was born July 25, 1940 to Jack and Avanell (Sergeant) Steed in Marshall, Texas. They claimed she was the “perfect only child”. She graduated from Marshall High School. She married Donald Heartsill Carpenter in Tyler, Texas November 23, 1961. They were married 54 years.
Beverly worked for American Greeting Cards Co (part-time), Gillette Company (her son-in-law of 23 years has not had to purchase a razor due to her stockpile since 1994).
She was a longtime member of Epworth UMC and volunteered at MCA (Medical Center of Arlington) with her husband. She fiercely loved her family, friends, shopping, Canton, Hobby Lobby, and gaudy jewelry.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Avanell, and her “boyfriend” of 54 years Don.
Survivors: Son, David and wife, Andi; daughter, Amy and husband, Patrick; grandchildren, Alma, Amberley, Jackson, Reagan; great-grandchildren, Miranda, AJ, Abriella and
Brantley.
