Betty Sue Terry, 75, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 in Mansfield, Texas.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ, Arlington, Texas with Minister Ryan Inlow officiating. Interment: Paradise Cemetery, Jasper, Missouri.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hearts and Hands, (817) 459-4950 or the Tri C (Christian Campus Center) at University of Texas at Arlington, (817) 296-1509.

Betty was born on October 25, 1946 in Carthage, Missouri where she grew up on a farm. She attended the one-room country school house where her mother was the teacher until high school. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1964. Betty and Lawrence Terry were married on July 4, 1975. Betty moved to Corpus Christi, Texas before residing in Arlington, Texas in 2003. She taught early childhood for several years, including at the Living Classroom Montessori pre-school in Corpus.

Betty was a member at the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. She enjoyed her friends from church, where she loved to serve others and volunteer. She loved the weekly Ladies’ Bible class. She was heavily involved at Hearts and Hands, a non-profit organization, where she served neighbors in need of food and clothing. Betty also enjoyed cutting and perming hair for elderly women which was another ministry for her.

She loved flowers, being outside, traveling, western movies, and all shades of the color blue. Some of her favorite singers included, Elton John, Carly Simon, and Paul McCartney. Betty was an avid Texas Rangers fan (when they were winning!). She loved to eat catfish and would fish for them on the farm when she was young.

Betty dearly loved her family and enjoyed doting on her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Keller; father, Charles Keller; brother, Charles Keller; and sister, Janet Morgan.

Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Terry; sons, Shawn Knisley (Jennie), and Sascha Terry (Jennifer); daughter, Sherry Burch (Troy); sister, Sharon Rusk; grandchildren, Joe Burch, Carolyn Burch, Jimmy Knisley, Ben Knisley, Elisa Terry, Kira Terry, Evelyn Terry, and Isabelle Terry.
